Bio
I was born and raised here in Southern California. I became interested in alterative medicine after being diagnosed with chronic migraines at 17, but really didn't know where to start. After working as a respiratory therapy technician for several years, I left the medical field to care for my asthmatic child. I hated both the side effects his asthma medication and my migraine medication caused, and someone suggested I try acupuncture. At the time, I thought it was weird, but worth a try. And here I am today, because it worked! I started school shortly after and opened my private practice in 2014.

Dr. Laura was so awesome for me. I went to her for my neck & shoulder after dealing with it for 3 years doing physical therapy, steroid shots, oh my gosh I can’t even tell you, and within 4 to 5 visits of her working on my neck she was able to fix it. As far as my shoulder, it helped a little bit. Dr Laura gave me the courage to demand that my doctor do an MRI on my shoulder, where they found I had a torn rotator cuff so it didn’t matter what I did, the only thing that was going to fix it was surgery. Dr Laura even came to my home, unbelievable. I would recommend all my friends and family and anybody I knew to go and see her if they had problems with different areas of the body where acupuncture can really really help. She is amazing.

Dr. Sciurba was very knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the process and made me feel very comfortable. I was very doubtful that acupuncture would work for me… I was wrong - it eased my pain. I am so Happy I found Dr. Sciurba!!

Dr. Laura is a consummate professional. Not only is she incredibly intelligent and compassionate, she is a great listener. I have terrible plantar fasciitis and had tried everything; icing, stretching, cortisone shots, custom orthotics, etc. Nothing was helping me recover and I was living in a 10 out of 10 pain level every day. Within one month of seeing her, my pain had gone down from a 10 to a 4, and is now very well managed. My visits have been able to go from weekly to monthly, and miraculously, she takes Kaiser insurance - so teachers, check her out! Thank you, Dr. Laura!
